Care Support Worker

Rate: £9.00 - £11.00 per hour

Job Type: zero hour / 16 Hours Guaranteed

Hours available: Between 8am and 9pm weekdays and weekends

Here at TuVida we have an amazing opportunity for a Care Support Worker to join us in the West Sussex area.

We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic and positive attitude towards working in the health and social care industry. We want someone who is professional, but more importantly approachable and amiable.

What you will be doing as a care support worker:

  • To provide support and assistance to carers and people with care needs. This will involve the provision of personal and social care, respecting confidentiality at all times within an equal opportunities framework.
  • To undertake the tasks specified in the support plan which may include the following personal and social care tasks:
  • Bathing in bed/bathroom/chair to include all aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assistance with management of continence of bladder and bowel
  • Assistance with dressing and undressing, getting up in the morning and going to bed
  • Assistance with mobility and transfers
  • Assistance with feeding
  • Administration of medication
  • Assistance with therapeutic programmes for rehabilitation and development as agreed with appropriate clinical professionals
  • Ensuring a safe environment for those who need constant supervision and help in accordance with carers trust policies, such as, health and safety policy and challenging behaviour policy
  • Care of pressure areas and prevention of sores
  • Provision of emotional support to the person with care needs and their carer(s) as part of the caring team
  • Domestic duties that are part of the care pack

Pay structure

Basic Rate (Monday – Friday 09.00 – 18.00) £9.00ph

Evenings & Nights (Mon – Fri 18.00hrs – 09.00 hrs) £9.50ph

Weekend (Fri 18.00hrs – Mon 09.00hrs) £10.50ph

Bank Holidays (00.00hrs – 24.00hrs on day of B/H) £11.00 ph plus Time Off In Lieu (at day rate) for hrs worked
