Children and Young People – Short Break Service

Support for young people aged 11-18, who have medium to high needs and are socially isolated or not attending education.

What is the Short Break Service?

This is a service available in the Arun, Adur, Worthing, Chichester and Horsham areas.

The service aims to help young people with care needs to:

  • Take part in new or existing hobbies
  • Reduce feelings of isolation
  • Make friends and join new groups
  • Have someone to talk to when it's needed
  • Increase their participation in education

Funding and availability

This is a bespoke service priced at £4 per hour.

The service is available seven days a week – including day times, evenings and weekends.
