Day centres and groups (Berkshire)

Our well-established centres and social clubs provide a valuable change of scenery for people receiving care during the day time.

People who attend have the chance to meet other new people – helping to build friendships, reduce feelings of isolation or loneliness, and feel part of the wider community.

Venues and times:

Please note: Due to the Coronavirus outbreak our clubs may be running differently than shown in the tables below, for safety reasons. For example, groups may take place at different times or locations, have reduced availability, or even be held online.

Please contact us to confirm all timings and availability.

Monday Club

This is a day centre for people without care needs. The emphasis of the group is on social interaction, friendship and a mutually agreed programme of events that is of interest to everyone.

Attendees design their own programme of events, which can include speakers, demonstrations, visits and outings.

Time: 11am-3pm, Mondays

Location: Theale (transport is provided to and from the venue)

Cost: £2.00 per week toward the cost of lunch. A voluntary contribution box is available for those who feel they can donate more to the group's funds

Wednesday Club

A group for people with dementia. Attendees can take part in a range of suitable activities including outings.

Time: 10am-3pm, Wednesdays

Location: Reading

Cost: Free for those in the catchment area

Thursday Club

The Thursday Club is for people with mental or physical disabilities. Attendees can take part in a variety of regular events and activities.

Time: 4pm-8pm, Thursdays

Location: Reading

Cost: There is no charge for this group, except when outings are arranged
