Events for carers (Ealing)

Carers living in the London Borough of Ealing are warmly invited to join us for activities/events in Acton and Greenford. Unless otherwise specified, all sessions are free of charge for carers.

Please note: For safety reasons some of our events may be running differently than normal during the COVID-19 pandemic. For example, groups may take place at different times or locations, have reduced availability, or even be held online. Please contact us to confirm all timings and availability.

When you contact us we will also provide you with login details for online events.

You should always consult your physician or healthcare provider before changing your diet or starting an exercise program. To participate, you agree to assume full responsibility for any injury that you may incur and waive all claims against the instructors and the TuVida Ealing Carers Service.

Counselling

We are currently looking at providing "one to one" counselling for carers. Before we can do this we need to know how many people would be interested.

If you think this service would be helpful to you please contact us to register your interest.

Feldenkrais

The Feldenkrais method is considered appropriate for any individual, of any age, and has been shown to offer the following benefits:

  • Improved health and well-being
  • Improved attention and concentration
  • Reduced pain
  • Completing tasks with less effort
  • Improved posture, movement, coordination, and balance
  • Easier breathing
  • Better control over muscular tension

Classes will take place:

  • 10-11am, Wednesday 14 October
  • 3-4pm, Wednesday 14 October
  • 11am-12pm, Thursday 15 October
  • 3-4pm, Thursday 15 October
  • 10-11am, Wednesday 21 October
  • 3-4pm, Wednesday 21 October
  • 11am-12pm, Thursday 22 October
  • 3-4pm, Thursday 22 October

Mindfulness

With life coach Soranny Perone.

Classes take place every 1-2pm Monday. (Groups are taking place online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please contact us for login details.)

Pilates

Pilates is a workout to help strengthen the body and improve general fitness and wellbeing.

Classes take place 10-11am, every Tuesday. (Classes are taking place online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please contact us for login details.)

Peer support groups

Join one of our peer support groups, aimed at helping you take back control of your life and your health.

These groups take place 11am-12pm, every Tuesday. (Groups are taking place online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please contact us for login details.)

Singing

Join us for CARE 2 SING UK!

Sessions take place 2-2:40pm, every Tuesday.

Please note: booking is required in advance to ensure you receive lyrics sheets ahead of the session. (Groups are taking place online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please contact us for login details.)

Yoga

Gentle exercise for the body and mind. Our yoga sessions take place 10:30-11:30am, every Monday. (Classes are taking place online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please contact us for login details.)

Zumba

Join us for a fun exercise class with a combination of aerobics and dance moves! Our Zumba classes take place 1-1:45pm, every Wednesday. (Classes are taking place online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please contact us for login details.)
