End of life support worker

 

Locations available: Nottingham / Mansfield / Newark 

Salary: £18,500 - £21,056 depending on experience 

Job Type: Permanent / 38.5 hours per week

Hours: 8am – 9pm / 3 days on 3 days off

 

Here at TuVida we have an amazing opportunity for you to make a difference as an end of life support worker.

We are looking for special carers who will support patients and their loved ones physically and emotionally through the last weeks of their lives. This is a tough role emotionally so it takes a tough cookie to manage it but it is also a really rewarding role.

What will you be doing as an End of life support worker?

  • Supporting patients who are at the end of their life to remain comfortable within their own home environment.
  • Develop and personalise support plans and risk assessment to meet the patient and carers needs.
  • Support with all aspects of personal care and continence management ensuring dignity and respect is maintained at all times.
  • Support with the prompting and administering of medication.
  • Monitoring and prompting of fluids and meals to ensure hydration and nutrition levels are maintained.
  • Monitoring skin integrity preventing the risk of pressure areas developing.
  • Work closely with other health and social care team’s professionals.
