Job Description

Title – Care Assistant (Hospital Discharge)

Location – North Northamptonshire

Rate of Pay – Up to £22,000 per annum

Pay and Reward

  • You will be paid a base salary of £20,500 per annum – Even if we don’t give you any calls.
    • Plus £500 upon joining TuVida
    • Plus £500 after passing your probation (6 months)
    • Plus £500 after 12 months
    • Plus regular retention incentives at 6 monthly intervals
  • Total of £22,000 in your first year with us.
  • On average, you will carry out 25 hours of face to face contact each week – Working out at an average of £16.92 per hour of contact time
  • Travel time is paid for in your base salary too
  • Mileage is paid at 35p per mile

What will I be doing?

You will provide short term care to patients who have recently been discharged from hospital care back into their own home. You will have a client group that gives you a satisfying, meaningful role where you know you are making a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll provide ‘hands on’ quality care to men and women living in their own homes. You’ll combine companionship and practical help with day-to-day tasks such as personal care, taking medication, preparing meals or shopping. You will also:

  • Build professional, warm, trusting and supportive relationship with our clients
  • Provide encouragement to help them to live a rich and fulfilling life.
  • Provide a high quality person centred personal care service
  • Treat our clients with respect and dignity
  • Have a calm, positive and constructive way of relating with clients, colleagues and people involved with our clients lives.
  • Be compliant with our operational policies and procedures
  • Work effectively within set professional boundaries
