What is the Nottinghamshire Carers Hub?

At TuVida, we know that it's not just people receiving care that need support; often, carers also need a helping hand too. That's why our Nottinghamshire Carers Hub provides free, confidential and personalised information and support for carers.

A carer is someone who supports a relative or friend of any age fitting at least one of the following descriptions:

  • elderly and frail
  • physically disabled
  • has a learning disability
  • has mental health issues
  • has a history of substance misuse
  • has a serious health condition.

The Nottinghamshire Carers Hub aims to make carers' lives easier in a variety of ways; whether by connecting them with other carers, or providing free, confidential advice and information, or access to employment, training and volunteering opportunities.

The scheme is funded by Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottingham City Council and the local NHS.

The information below is specific to adult carers in Nottinghamshire. Looking for services for young carers? Visit our Nottinghamshire Young Carers webpage...

Events

We host regular support groups, meetings and drop-in sessions, aimed at helping carers access information and support relevant to your personal situation.

We also run annual events for carers in celebration of Carers Week, Carers Rights Day, Young Carers Awareness Day, and more.

Please note: to help keep everyone safe during the Coronavirus pandemic our clubs may be running differently than usual. For example, groups may take place at different times or locations, have reduced availability, or even be held online.
