Recruitment Officer

Nottingham (remote working candidates will also be considered)

Salary - £26,000 - £30,000

 TuVida is currently looking for a self-motivated, energetic Recruitment Officer who will be involved in all aspects of recruitment across a large number of sites. From the creation of vacancies right through to offer. Working in the fast paced, exciting sector of home care and carers support services, we are looking for someone with experience in recruitment, coupled with a passion for our sector.

TuVida is a not-for-profit organisation that provides care to people to help them live independently in the comfort of their own homes.

About the role

 The Role/Candidate:

Reporting to the Head of Talent and Engagement, the Recruitment officer will be responsible for ensuring that the recruitment demands of the business are met.

Main Activities:

  • First point of contact for candidates, responding to candidates queries in a timely manner
  • Management of the Recruitment mailboxes.
  • Ensure all candidate records are updated on our internal tracker (moving across to the ATS from August 2022.)
  • Liaise effectively with Managers to ensure we are proactively recruiting for future resourcing needs.
  • Feedback on a regular basis to managers on the status of their vacancies
  • Promote & oversee the 'Employee Referral' scheme to ensure all referrals are listed, and tracking is kept up to date to ensure bonus payments are processed correctly.
  • Post job advertisements in a variety of methods (including via our new ATS system from August 2022).
  • Support the implementation of a new ATS system
  • Promote job opportunities using websites and social media (e.g. LinkedIn and Facebook).
  • Be creative in coming up with new and innovative ideas to source candidates directly.
  • Liaise with external agencies, to ensure that they fully understand the needs of our business and can fully support the recruitment needs in hard to recruit areas.
  • Process applications and update the required trackers.
  • Conduct timely telephone screens of candidates.
  • Support with interviews as and when required.
  • Provide feedback to the candidate, if requested.
  • Ensure candidates complete application form prior to interview.
  • Support HR Admin with robust & timely on-boarding, to ensure pre-employment checks and right to work documentation is sourced quickly and is right first time. In addition ensure that the relevant documentation is sent to the candidate.
  • Coordinate induction timetables with candidates and relevant offices.
  • Prepare and regularly distribute the Internal Vacancy listing
  • Coordinate the internal application process, scheduling screening and interviews.
  • Work closely with the Talent Team to ensure peaks and troughs of recruitment activities are proactively managed,
  • Support with recruitment strategy (researching potential partners).
  • Ensure compliance of HR Policies and procedures with employment legislation and Carers Trust Policies.
  • Provide management information on key HR statistics weekly.
  • Ensure that confidentiality is protected at all times
  • Practise in accordance with policies and procedures of TuVida.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, have the ability to absorb and retain information quickly and have a keen eye for detail.  You’ll have a passion for doing the right thing and exceeding expectations and enjoy working both as part of a team and on your own.

The hours for this role are 37 ½ per week, Monday to Friday. Actual hours to be agreed with your line manager

You will have:

 Previous recruitment experience, preferably in the health and social care field.

  • Ability to display empathy and understand the needs of our stakeholders.
  • An understanding of the issues Carers and cared-for face within their role and society.
  • Ability to engage and win hearts and minds of staff, clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational
  • To be able to work as part of a team supporting colleagues.
  • Able to work under pressure meeting deadlines and challenging key performance indicators.
  • Able to manage own time effectively and prioritise own workload.
  • Able to work on their own initiative.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation.

 And ideally:

  • Experience in the care sector.
  • A full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
