At TuVida we run a bi-annual Short Break Weekend - providing breaks for people with dementia and their family or friend carers.

The Short Breaks take place over two days in March/April and September/October each year, at a venue in West Sussex.

The weekend breaks are designed for people under the age of 65 who have received a diagnosis of dementia. However, the person can be any age, they just need to be ‘young at heart’.

A family or friend carer is also welcome to accompany their loved one.

What to expect

Whether you want to go for a swim or a bike ride, try your hand at some art therapy or simply rest and relax, our Short Breaks can offer something for you.

Round the clock support* is provided by TuVida. TuVida has a wealth of experience in caring and supporting people with different needs including people with dementia.

*We can support your loved one while you take part in activities on your own but we are unable to offer personal care.

Cost

The cost includes one night’s stay in an en-suite room and all meals, refreshments and entertainment.

The event is subsidised but a contribution of £95 per person is requested. If this is a barrier to you taking part, please do contact us as soon as possible as you may be able to apply for funding to help cover the cost.
