Care Support Worker

Rate: £9.00 - £10.00 per hour + travel time

Job Type: zero hour  

Hours: Flexible Days between 7am and 10pm weekdays must work 1 day at alternative weekends

Here at TuVida we have an amazing opportunity for a Care Support Worker to join us in the Havering area.

We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic and positive attitude towards working in the health and social care industry. We want someone who is professional, but more importantly approachable and amiable.

What will you be doing as a Care Support Worker?

  • To provide help and relieve stress for:
  • The carer of a person with a disability living in their own home, in order to prevent a breakdown in care.
  • In exceptional circumstances a person with a disability who may live alone.
  • To provide support services at one of TuVidas day care or club provision.

Duties include:

  • Assisting and promoting personal care
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using correctly any specialised equipment provided.
  • Preparation and assistance with light meals as required.
  • Administer only the medication as prescribed by a qualified medical practitioner under the direction of the Care, Quality Compliance Officer.
  • Accompany as required outside the home.
  • Assist with therapeutic programmes, these having been designed under medical direction as advised by the relevant professionals and under the direction of the Manager.
  • Provide a safe environment for those who need constant supervision and help.
  • Provide emotional support to the family as part of a caring team.
