Why work with us

At TuVida we know that each person and family may face their own struggle. It's our job to work with them to find out exactly what will make their lives better.

We work in a number of areas across the UK, and have nearly 700 amazing colleagues in total.

Our staff work in a number of roles: they may provide direct care or enable respite, work in our Carers Hubs creating activities and events for carers, or work in our call centres to provide invaluable advice and information to carers over the phone or by email.

If you're a caring person with a passion for helping others, you'll fit right in.

What do we look for in our colleagues?

Our staff need to see the value in both giving care and receiving it.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach for effective caring and support, although respect and compassion are certainly key ingredients.

Our frontline staff need to be skilled in establishing constructive relationships with people, so that they can jointly pinpoint the aspects of life that are causing most difficulty.

What do we offer our team members?

We place a high priority on working with staff to recognise their skills and increase their professionalism - including, very importantly, their sense of their own value.

Although they often work alone, staff are never unsupported. They are members of teams who take part in development programmes and can expect focused support and encouragement from their managers.

There's lots of scope here for hard-working, ambitious people who care - we are a well-established and growing charity, with national and local presence.

"I started out as a care support worker some 25 years ago, and since then I think I've done every job in the organisation that there is to be done.

It's great when people want to work for us, but it's even better when they want to stay and make a career with us."

- Christine Alexander, Chief Executive Officer.
