What does TuVida stand for? We’re about supporting your life in a way that works for you; whether you're a family carer or you're somebody who receives care. Expand TuVida means "your life" and our slogan is "supporting your life". It reflects what we do as an organisation. Our aim is to put people at the heart of our services. We’re about supporting life: whether it’s supporting a person’s journey through life, an end of life support service or an interaction that supports someone who needs help at any given time of their life.
What's TuVida's history? TuVida is a not-for-profit organisation with over 30 years’ experience in the care sector. Formerly known as several local names – including Carers Trust East Midlands – the organisation fully rebranded on 4 September 2020. Expand The rationale for the rebrand was simple. As of early 2020 Carers Trust East Midlands was made up of several network partners of Crossroads Care, Carers Trust and/or Princess Royal Trust for Carers. This was because a number of mergers had taken place over a period of several years. All of the previously autonomous charities listed below had approached Carers Trust East Midlands to become part of a larger charity and further develop local services and support to beneficiaries: Carers Trust East Midlands Berkshire Carers Hub Crossroads Care North Notts Wokingham Outreach Carers Service Carers Trust EHHR Crossroads Care Reading Carers Trust Thames Crossroads Care South Central Crossroads Care Harrogate, Craven & York For the organisation to call itself "Carers Trust East Midlands" whilst working in areas outside of the East Midlands was inaccurate and confusing. So, in 2020 the organisation switched to a single, new name that was designed to reflect its work across all of its locations. You can read more about the TuVida story here. TuVida is a Carers Trust Network partner. It's a not-for-profit organisation registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) – the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
Has the rebrand to TuVida affected my local services? No. The services and support we provide across the country are entirely unaffected by the change in name. Expand The only difference our beneficiaries will see as a result of this development will be changes to our branding.
