Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours Monday to Friday

TuVida (previously known as Carers Trust East Midlands) have a brand new exciting opportunity within the organisation as People Team Business Partner.

As a HR business partner you will lead the next stage of the establishment of TuVida’s new internal HR function, building relationships with managers, gaining their confidence and trust as you provide sound, accurate and consistent HR advice that delivers quality people management aligned to our vision, values and business ambitions. You will be the direct line manager of four team members within the People Team and will report into the Chief Officer of People.

TuVida is a new brand built from decades of social care services delivered by 17 now merged charities. This role will lead on the integration and harmonisation of HR practice across our footprint, from centralisation of personnel files to how disciplinary matters are handled and judged, ensuring our employee experience is consistent and reflects the value we place on our staff.

Changing. 2021 will see the arrival of a new organisational structure and systems requiring high levels of organisational and workforce planning. This role will be pivotal in shaping and implementing these practices, delivering interventions and solutions to effectively meet our workforce needs.

Evolving. We are working hard to evolve and consolidate one culture for our emerging integrated organisation. This role will use your strong experience and judgement to influence, motivate and change our management style and approach, coaching leaders and managers on people management to build their confidence.

Growing. A constant churn of contracts, on boarding, exiting and growth demands innovative and responsive people management skills. This role will be at the forefront of meeting those demands.

The world in which we work is changing too; the ongoing pandemic and its impact on our staff, commissioners and communities; and growing need for support given our population demographics; the increasing competition to do more for less as public bodies strive to economise and drive costs down. This role will be at the forefront of our response to each and all of these.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will work with the Chief Office for People to build a People Agenda that reflects the Vision and Values of the organisation. Within this you will
  • line manage the HR Advisor and Recruitment Manager and together deliver interventions and solutions that enable TuVida to meet our workforce needs
  • work with Regional Managers to interpret, articulate and deliver workforce requirements for the short, medium and longer term
  • build the capability of leaders, managers and supervisors through coaching and appropriate interventions to consistently raise the bar on performance
  • provide expert HR advice and guidance on managing performance, including recognition of high performing staff as well as working to support areas of underperformance
  • provide expert support, guidance and , where appropriate, coach leaders, managers and supervisors on HR issues and developments relevant to Health and Social Care (e.g. policy, practice, legal developments) ensuring an effective level of people management practice
  • Provide expert guidance in relation to the resolution / completion of complex employee relations matters including casework, TUPE transfers, changes to terms and conditions, reorganisation, restructures and mergers.
  • support TuVida with its current reorganisation programme with expert advice, support and guidance
  • lead and / or take a key role in projects required in support of TuVida’s People Strategy and broader strategic objectives
  • Help shape TuVida’s culture programme, delivering coaching on equality, diversity and inclusion where needed to meet these needs

What are we looking for in our People Team / HR Business Partner?

  • CIPD Level 7
  • Full driving licence, able to travel throughout our footprint
  • 5+ years of HR business partnering or progressive general HR experience
  • Experience in Health & Social Care
  • Management of an HR team

Salary: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
