Our support groups are taking place online during the COVID-19 pandemic and will be delivered via Zoom (computer, laptop, tablet or phone with speakers and camera required).

Please contact us for more information and to book your place.

Parent carers support group

Do you care for someone under under 25, who has additional needs?

Would you like to meet other parents who understand your situation?

Interested in relaxing, fun activities?

We are starting a new support group, specifically for parent carers, who are looking after children/ young adults with additional needs or mental health issues. This will be a peer led group, run by carers for carers.

The aim of the group is to support carers to

  • Make friends
  • Share strategies and information
  • Do something for you
  • Be very informal and relaxed
  • Refreshments will be provided

The first group will take place 11:30am-1pm, Tuesday 14 September at TuVida's Ealing Carers Service, Sycamore Lodge, 1 Edgecote Close, Acton, Ealing, W3 8PH.

Counselling

We would like to introduce our new Counsellor, a lovely lady called Sarah Waddington, whose Counselling service starts at our Ealing Carers Service on Friday 7 May 2021.

Sarah is a qualified integrative therapeutic counsellor who can draw from various counselling behaviours and techniques in order to tailor sessions to your needs. She can work and connect by talking but also creatively by use of art, mindfulness, music and movement. It can take courage to talk to a stranger about personal and uncomfortable feelings, so her approach is warm, holistic and non-judgmental.
