The difference we make Stories "I care about them and they care about me" Lena lives in the East Midlands and is regularly visited by one of our Care Support Workers, Ann-Marie. She says: "I get on very well with my regular carer, Ann-Marie, and we have a lot of laughs! "She keeps an eye on me when we go out, making sure I put my pension away safely and helping me not to forget things when we are shopping. "She's very good at her job and gets small things like the paper and a nice sausage roll that we enjoy over coffee when we get home. She helps me shower and stops me falling. "The care I get is wonderful and I am very grateful. I have had the carers for a long while and I've always been satisfied. "I don't know how I'd manage without them as I can't get out of the house on my own. I can get quite depressed and lonely, so they are a lifeline. I do care about them and they care about me."
