Stories "I care about them and they care about me" Lena lives in the East Midlands and is regularly visited by one of our Care Support Workers, Ann-Marie. She says: "I get on very well with my regular carer, Ann-Marie, and we have a lot of laughs! "She keeps an eye on me when we go out, making sure I put my pension away safely and helping me not to forget things when we are shopping. "She's very good at her job and gets small things like the paper and a nice sausage roll that we enjoy over coffee when we get home. She helps me shower and stops me falling. "The care I get is wonderful and I am very grateful. I have had the carers for a long while and I've always been satisfied. "I don't know how I'd manage without them as I can't get out of the house on my own. I can get quite depressed and lonely, so they are a lifeline. I do care about them and they care about me."
